Safari Terms and Conditions
1. Booking and Reservations
At Jmaffi Car Hire and Safaris, all bookings must be made in writing and are confirmed upon receipt of a deposit. A deposit of 30% of the total safari cost is required to secure your reservation. The balance is due no later than 60 days prior to the commencement of your safari. If the booking is made within 60 days of departure, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.
2. Payment Methods
We accept payments via bank transfers and major credit cards. All payments should be made in US dollars unless otherwise agreed. Any bank charges incurred during the transaction are the responsibility of the client. Failure to adhere to the payment schedule may result in the cancellation of your booking.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations must be made in writing and are effective from the date we receive the notification. The following cancellation charges apply:
– More than 60 days before departure: 30% of the safari cost.
– 30-60 days before departure: 50% of the safari cost.
– Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of the safari cost.
We highly recommend that clients purchase travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
4. Changes to Booking
Any changes to the booking must be communicated in writing and are subject to availability. While we will endeavor to accommodate changes, any additional costs incurred due to changes will be borne by the client. This includes, but is not limited to, alterations to accommodation, transport, and itinerary.
5. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients and should cover personal accident, medical expenses, and evacuation. It should also cover cancellation, curtailment, and loss of personal effects. Jmaffi Car Hire and Safaris is not responsible for any costs incurred due to inadequate insurance coverage.
6. Health and Safety
Clients are responsible for ensuring they are in good health and fit to participate in the safari. It is essential to seek medical advice regarding vaccinations and health precautions. We recommend carrying a personal first aid kit. Clients must adhere to safety instructions given by guides and staff at all times to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
7. Liability
Jmaffi Car Hire and Safaris will not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or death resulting from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, weather conditions, political unrest, or accidents. We act as agents for various service providers and cannot be held responsible for any default or negligence on their part.
8. Use of Photographs
We reserve the right to use any photographs or videos taken during the safari for promotional purposes unless the client explicitly requests otherwise in writing before the safari commences. We respect client privacy and will not use images that might cause embarrassment or harm.
9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions or the safari itself shall be resolved in Tanzanian courts. By booking with Jmaffi Car Hire and Safaris, clients agree to abide by these terms and conditions and acknowledge that they have read and understood them fully.
