Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi. Meet your mountain guide in the evening for a briefing and equipment check. Rest well before your trek begins.
Drive to the Rongai Gate, near the Kenyan border. Begin trekking through farmland and pine forests, with chances to spot colobus monkeys and diverse birdlife. As you ascend gently through heather and volcanic formations, enjoy sweeping views of Kenya to the north. Arrive at Simba Camp, perched on a scenic ridge near Mawenzi Peak.

Continue climbing through open moorland with views of the jagged Mawenzi Peak. The trail becomes more open and atmospheric as you approach Second Cave Camp, a major acclimatization point. Spend the afternoon resting or hiking around the area.
A short, gradual trek across quiet moorland with spectacular northern views stretching into Kenya. The day is designed for acclimatization, giving your body time to adjust. Arrive at Third Cave, a tranquil and less crowded camp surrounded by rugged volcanic terrain.
Ascend steadily into the high alpine desert, with a long traverse toward the base of Kibo Peak. The trail is exposed, dry, and scenic, offering dramatic views of Kilimanjaro’s summit cone. Arrive at Kibo Hut, where you’ll have an early dinner and rest before your midnight summit push.
Summit day begins around midnight with a challenging climb up steep scree to Gilman’s Point (5,685 m). Continue along the crater rim to Stella Point, and finally to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
After celebrating at the summit, descend to Kibo Hut for rest, then continue down to Horombo Hut, where you’ll spend the night.
Descend through moorland and lush rainforest filled with birdlife and colobus monkeys. Upon reaching Marangu Gate, sign out and receive your summit certificate. Your driver will transfer you back to Moshi for a relaxing evening.
Depending on your flight schedule, we’ll transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). If you are continuing with a safari or Zanzibar holiday, we’ll assist with smooth transitions. Your Kilimanjaro journey concludes with pride, accomplishment, and unforgettable memories.
